ELISA LEE LAVERY

Vinyasa Flow  |  Pregnancy  |  Postnatal Recovery

Elisa Lee Lavery is a US-born, London-based yoga teacher specialising in vinyasa flow, prenatal and postnatal yoga. Her passion is providing women with a space to breathe deep, move freely and ride the waves of the breath. Her classes are highlighted by a balance of mobility, strength and ease in movement to nurture the continuously evolving practice of her students.

Elisa stepped into her first yoga class over 10 years ago while living in New York City where she fell in love and eventually trained to become a teacher. As her practice deepened, Elisa became attuned to how yoga can support women throughout their cycle and the larger shifts experienced in pregnancy and after birth. Upon moving to London she completed her pregnancy and postnatal yoga training with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, an all around expert in the field of women’s yoga.

Elisa is constantly pursuing additional training with renowned teachers to expand her knowledge of different traditions and approaches to yoga. Studies include focuses on anatomy, alignment, scoliosis and yin. More recent trainings include Restorative Yoga Advanced Teacher Training with Judith Hanson Lasater. She has also trained with the psoas-savvy movement expert Liz Koch with focus on pregnancy support and had further training for women’s health yoga and fertility support with Tiffany Cruikshank. Currently, she is completing her 500-hr Advanced Yoga Teacher Training with Jason Crandell. Elisa is accredited by Yoga Alliance UK.

Elisa offers group and one-to-one classes online and in person. She can also be found on the Bia app for prenatal and postnatal yoga.

When not doing yoga she enjoys cooking experiments, curling up with a new novel, or cycling around with her daughter in search of the next “best playground ever.”
